Couples Therapy
Working with couples and relationships (including friendships) is a primary focus of my practice. I aim to help couples demystify patterns leading to conflict and disconnection in order to move toward deep healing, better communication, empathy, and curiosity.
Couples therapy doesn't have to be doom & gloom—it can be an expansive, inspiring process for all involved. I lean on evidence-based training in Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, Psychodynamic Couples Therapy, and Sex Therapy.
Relationship therapy doesn’t have to fit one mold.
I work with:
Couples
Nonmonogamous/polyamorous relationships
Platonic relationships
Co-parents
Ex-partners
Other nontraditional constellations
What may bring you to couples therapy
Repairing trust
Increasing honesty and openness
Processing trauma
Sexual challenges
Recurring conflict
Disconnection
Major transitions
In couples and relationship therapy, I’m interested not only in what you’re fighting about, but in the deeper patterns that keep pulling you into familiar roles. Together, we’ll look at attachment patterns, emotional dynamics, relationship history, and what happens between you in the present moment.
My approach is influenced by Emotionally Focused Therapy, as well as relational and psychodynamic perspectives, which means we’ll pay attention to both the immediate interaction and the older experiences that may be shaping it. The goal is to create more room for honesty, repair, trust, and connection.
